TAKING CARE OF THAT CUTE LITTLE PET
57LEARN TO LOVE AND CARE FOR YOUR CAT OR KITTEN.
Caring for a cat requires an understanding and appreciation of its basic nature so that you can both enjoy a long and happy friendship.
Below are a few useful tips that I came up with because of the experience I have had with cats as my pets;
- Feed your cat at regular times from its own bowl. Keep this dish separate from the family's crockery.
- Make sure that water or milk is available for the cat to drink when it wants. Not all cats like milk, one of my cats got really sick in the stomach after drinking milk for the first time. So identify what foods your cat can eat and cannot.
- Give your cat its own bed- don't let it use yours. Clean its bed regularly.
- Use its name regularly so that it can learn to respond to its name without much difficulty.
- Clean the litter tray out daily. Train your cat to use a litter tray.
- Register your cat with your vet to make things easier and it is usually a requirement in most countries.
- Make sure you take your pet for vaccinations on time.
- Groom your pet regularly or daily if it has long hair. Make sure you check for ticks or fleas and any other infections.
- If you don't want your kitten to be a mother or father in future go to your vet for neutering it while it's still young.
- Never take kittens away from their queen until they are six weeks old.
- Do not leave sharp objects lying around its dangerous because the cat might step on it or swallow it.
- Do not feed egg white to your cat because it destroys essential vitamins in the cat. Do no give a cat more than two eggs in a week.
The way you treat and bring up a cat shows in its behavior. Make you treat it well and train it properly so that it won't annoy or embarrass you.
Cats are really clean pets and are quite picky.
Just remember and always keep in mind that cats are very curious so you have to protect or watch over them the way a mother and father protect their child.
Thank you for reading and I wish you the best taking care of your cute little pet.
God bless you.
