Common eye problems that you should protect yourself from are conjunctivitis, glaucoma, loss of visual acuity, macular degeneration of the retina, cataracts and night blindness.

Eat a diet that is rich in vitamin A, vitamin C and E, zinc and antioxidants or Carotenoids.
Vitamin A
- Aids in formation of rhodopsin and light sensitive pigment and keeps conjunctiva moist and in good condition.
Lack of vitamin C and E
- Causes cataracts and loss of vision.
Carotenoids
- act as antioxidants and help prevent macular degeneration of the retina.
Eat more apricot, spinach, cabbage, orange, squash, blueberry, blackberry and mangoes. Reduce or eliminate trans-fatty acids, coffee, proteins, butter, salt and diary.
